Our first thought when we picked up the Slingshot was that the guys (and gals) that make racing seats would have this market pretty much wrapped up before we'd have a chance to launch. Turns out standard automotive seats are a bit too much for the Slingshot's passenger cabin. Good news for us!
What we did was design new platforms that work on your existing Polaris seat frame and slider. Instead of building up complete racing style seats with shoulder bolsters, we opted more for a Sport Bucket style that gives you thigh and side bolsters, but keeps your shoulders free. Not only does this look more appropriate inside the Slingshot, but it maximizes cabin space and doesn't make you feel cramped.
Naturally we used our expertise in seat design to provide seat and back panels that cradle your body ergonomically. This gives you excellent, long range support that eliminates hot spots. We also made the thigh bolsters with a softer angle so they add more seating area for more square inches of body contact. This helps hold your body in place yet not "confined" while giving additional comfort value.
If your area constabulary requires the use of a helmet (like they do here) you're going to love this... We've taken the big bumps out of the headrests! The stock shape is fine if you're crusing along with your hair in the air, but the moment you don a helmet they become a serious aggravation. So we've provided just enough extra room to allow for the helmet but still provide the needed support and whiplash protection. This equates to approximately 1.5 inches if you're wondering.
We've also angled the seat base to the rear a bit. This helps to keep you firmly planted in the seat while it also supports under your legs for added weight distribution. Seating length of twenty inches gives generous support.
On the inside we build these up with our proprietary Comfort Cell foam. This closed cell foam provides a firm ride that supports your body indefinitely and doesn't lose resilience over time. After a break in period, Comfort Cell will begin to take on the rider's shape for give personalized support.
On top we use genuine leather seating with a wide range of color and texture options. Leather will breathe with your body and break in along with the foam for a personalized fit. Above we show our seats decked out as follows:

Black natural grain leather seating, Red Carbon-Fiber trim, Asphalt side panels and Black Diamond stitching. |

Corbin's Sport Bucket seats also have the option of electric heaters built in. These seats feature a heating unit in both the seat base AND the seat back. You'll be amazed at how well this works to make your whole body feel warmer on those chilly morning rides. Our heater units are full self contained within the seat and come pre-installed. We include a wiring pigtail that integrates with your Slingshot's harness and runs up to the dash to plug into our included heater switches. Installation requires only standard hand tools and a little patience.
Speaking of heat, have you noticed how hot the seats get if you leave your Slingshot sitting in the sun for a little while? We've got that licked by including a fabric sunshade with every seat. Build specifically for our seats, this stretchy material pulls over the seat to give some shade while you're out and about. When you get back, just pull the cover off and stow it away in the handy storage pouch built into the back of the headrests.
Our Fibertech base material and patented manufacturing process allow a perfect fit to the Polaris seat frame. This rigid baseplate provides the seat with a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the foam. The seat components mount easily with included hardware.
